Client's
Input:
The Chamber had an existing web site, but it was amateurishly designed
and difficult to navigate. The client needed a more user-friendly site,
that was easy to navigate so people or businesses would learn more about
Ottawa and be attracted to the area. The Chamber also wanted to communicate
their vision to move forward.
My
Role:
I redesigned the site with a more graphically appealing look. The graphics
in the banner juxtapose the rural with the Chicago skyline, reinforcing
the city's progressive image. I incorporated a Flash intro with jazzy
music to communicate forward-thinking and progressive leadership. To make
the site easier to navigate, I broke it up into five main categories,
with subcategories that were accessible either along left side or via
a drop-down menu.
